Excellent after-sales service. My Christmas calendar order arrived on schedule and in good condition. Unfortunately, one of the toys did not work, and after trying a couple of Customer Support ideas, they agreed to replace it.
My husband and I have been shopping at Forthecloset for many years and have never had a terrible experience. Products are excellent, shipping is always timely and discrete, pricing are reasonable, and there is always something new. Until recently, I had never had to contact their customer support. I purchased a gift for my husband, paid for DPD next day delivery, and it did not come for over two weeks. When the package came, it was visibly opened, and the contents had been tampered with. This was in no way Fortheclosets' fault; plainly, someone at DPD wanted a free toy but not the one I would requested. So, because DPD is literally uncontactable, I called Karen at Forthecloset Customer Service, who was incredibly compassionate and completely understood that I felt violated and could not send this item as a present. Karen took the initiative to call DPD and request that I look into what occurred. Karen requested me to email images and then offered me a refund for the shipping as well as to replace all of the products for free and to pay for royal mail delivery. Even though I stated that I only needed the item replaced and not the shipping, she persisted and offered me the refund as well! Karen not only fixed my issue completely and swiftly, but she was also a pleasure to interact with via phone or email. She not only wanted to assist me, but she also recognized the gravity of the matter, apologized profusely, and actually cared about my experience. Again, none of this was Forthecloset's responsibility; they delivered my purchase on the scheduled day, and Karen went out of her way to ensure Forthecloset corrected it. Karen, thank you! Closet executives and managers, you have a great treasure on your team! Please forward this note of thanks and admiration to Karen if possible. Also, get rid of DPD as your couriers; they let you down and it seems unjust that you will wind up bearing the tab for DPD's disgusting behavior.
