A question which has no doubt occurred to many; personally, I’d say it can easily be classified under both categories.
It’s a sex act which we often see in porn films. Bukkake originated in Japan during the nineteen-eighties, and then subsequently became popular in Europe and The States. Since that time, bukkake has been discussed many times in relation to the true meaning of the word within a sexual context.
Some commentators hold that it’s the act of a man ejaculating on another man or woman dressed in sexy costumes, whereas others argue that it implies the humiliation of the person who is receiving it, as that person usually isn’t sexually stimulated in any way – their sole purpose in being there is to receive the man’s ejaculation, often upon their face.
The term “bukkake” has also been used to describe “a pouring of water”, and is also related to a type of hot, gravy-like sauce which is poured over noodles; but again, it was during the eighties that we saw the word bukkake come into play within a sexual context. It was said that bukkake originated as a response to the censorship of genitals within the Japanese pornographic industry – as a response to this censorship, the adult industry in Japan turned their focus to the depiction of facial features, and the body of the actress dressed in sexy nightwear; and as they could not show any sexual penetration, they needed to use other sexual acts, without violating any of the censorship laws; and it was from here that the act spread to America and Europe during the nineteen-nineties, a time when gang-bang videos and double penetration were the things that the local adult audiences were crying out to see!
However, the definition of just what constitutes the act of bukkake does seem to differ, depending on which continent you’re on; this is primarily down to the fact that the Western world isn’t quite so subject to the subordination of women which the Eastern world usually depicts within its porn films- though this genre has permeated the fields of gay and lesbian pornography, where many do partake in such actions.
But is bukkake just a fancy term for something that we’ve been seeing, and enjoying, long before the eighties? Some of us may simply refer to bukkake by the terms “facial” or “pearl necklace” – as these expressions both allude to the sexual act of a man – or men – ejaculating onto another person’s face, or on part of their body, while being draped over some luxurious sex furniture.
